ETOX 2023 - edge of the Scottish Highlands

ETOX 2023 will be hosted by Crieff Hydro Resort set in dramatic Perthshire countryside above the market town of Crieff. The four star estate is just an hour from airports at Glasgow and Edinburgh and is 30 minutes from Perth (how to find Crieff Hydro Resort). Aside from a wide choice of meeting and private dining rooms, the resort also has 6 restaurants, an onsite outdoor activity centre, a nine-hole golf course and Spa. All guests have complimentary access to their 20 metre leisure pool, sauna, steam room, whirlpool bath, 38 seat cinema and cardio gym. Crieff Hydro Resort is positioned within 900 acres of land including their own Glen with over 30 different outdoor activities to choose from.
What does registration include?
Registration fees include 4-nights stay with breakfast, lunch and dinner plus unlimited tea and coffee (10.30am - 4pm). Besides the scientific programme, ETOX 2023 will include socials to make sure everyone in the bacterial toxins community gets chance to meet in a relaxed informal setting: evening socials will include two evening poster sessions. On the Wednesday afternoon there will be free time to either enjoy the activities available at the resort or join in an organised group excursion in the local area. A conference dinner will be held on the final evening followed by a traditional Scottish Ceilidh evening.
Reducing the carbon footprint of ETOX 2023.
The Company of Biologists has provided grant funding towards reducing registration fees. Crieff Hydro Resort is committed to reducing their carbon footprint recognised by a gold green tourism award. In keeping with this, ETOX 2023 aims to be a sustainable meeting that minimises the impact on our planet wherever possible. The Company of Biologists has also provided funding to reduce the cost of travel for attendees who use sustainable travel (see registration page)

Shuttle buses
The Company of Biologists have awarded funding to help ETOX reduce its carbon footprint. To reduce the need for car travel and taxis, we will use a shuttle bus service to transport attendees between local arrival/departure points and Crieff Hydro Resort on Sunday 25th June and Thursday 29th June. More to follow.
